Why infrared activates during daylight
Applicable modelsBTC-4E40BTC-6DCLNBTC-8E-HP5UBTC-PSMHDS-E
The light reaching the camera determines infrared use.
The front light sensor decides whether infrared illumination is needed. Dense tree cover, cloud, dawn and dusk can leave too little light for a properly exposed color image.
Switching to black-and-white infrared capture in these conditions can be normal. Compare the result with test images taken in good outdoor light.
