Work through image-quality problems

Start with power, storage and placement.

  1. Switch off the camera and fit fresh batteries of a type allowed by its manual.
  2. Use a compatible SD card and retain the original image files.
  3. Check the lens for dirt, water or condensation, then make test recordings at another location.
Checks by image symptom
  • Too bright or dark: check direct sunlight, snow, nearby subjects and large foreground objects.
  • Broken or incomplete files: try another compatible card. If only transmitted copies are affected, compare them with the originals on the SD card.
  • Hazy images: check the lens, moisture and fog.
  • No visible subject: check moving vegetation and the actual detection area.

Use the SD card checks for storage errors, or the battery checks for weak power. If the issue continues, keep example originals, the model code and settings, then contact us.
